Flo is a young singer/songwriter who has just released “Sincerely, Not Really,” her debut single. “My proudest moment was when I went into the studio for the first time, and heard my songs come to life,” Flo says. “I was blown away.” The world shares Flo’s enthusiasm for “Sincerely, Not Really”, which is now in rotation on 35 radio stations across the United States.
Flo’s debut single “Sincerely, Not Really” is a sassy, cheeky story about the universal themes of boy trouble and friendship drama, from a unique perspective. The proud tradition of American country music holds a special place in her soul. “I adore telling stories with all of my heart,” Flo explains. “In country music there are so many beautiful, entertaining and even amusing stories that have just made me fall so in love with it.” Flo’s beautiful sound and energy has also attracted a burgeoning social media following, with more than 80k Instagram followers.
Flo has spent hours in the Los Angeles studio crafting her songs with a team of world-class collaborators over the past few years. Expect everything from heartbreaking ballads to full on country songs, sugar-sweet pop songs and even some Latin-American flavours. She has recruited an all-star cast of American musicians in demand to create her music, including Morris Pleasure (Ray Charles, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson), Leland Sklar (Phil Collins, The Doors, Diana Ross) and Donald Barrett (touring credits include Toni Braxton, Pink and Seal).
Flo’s dedication to her songcraft has already attracted incredible opportunities, including her performance for the President of Singapore at the President’s Challenge concert and her transformative show with multi-award winning songwriter, producer and pop music legend David Foster. “I sang a mashup of “I Have Nothing” and “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston with David,” she says. “I remember feeling such joy and happiness when I was on that stage. I’m sure it’s a feeling I’m going to remember for the rest of my life.”
Flo spent her childhood living all over the world, from Singapore to Canada to her hometown of Santiago, Chile. She set sail on her own musical journey at the age of six with piano lessons, but it was her first solo with the school choir at eight years old that struck a chord so deep it resonated endlessly. Her voice as a songwriter started taking shape from the age of fourteen, and she’s spent the last few years making music and playing shows around America and the world.
As to what’s next for the talented young performer, Flo will be building on her breakout success in the United States and continue to write songs and tour. With her first song already setting the airwaves alight and a truly cinematic music video capturing her finely crafted visual world out now, Flo’s future is gleaming.
